On this week’s episode, I got to chat with Dr. Jinny Choe about her job as a pastoral counselor. She shares with me her heart and passion to help bring inner healing to those specifically within the Asian American community, and how her education and background in theology and counseling have given her the tools to help her clients begin this healing process. Dr. Jinny and I also discuss some of our raw thoughts and feelings about last week’s tragic shootings and murders of 8 people (6 of which were Asian women) in Atlanta, Ga.

2020 was a year to remember, to say the least. And I know it would have looked so much worse if it weren’t for the doctors and nurses on the frontlines of this pandemic. On this week’s episode I talk to Nor.Cal based Pediatric R.N., David Han. He tells me about what things have been like at his hospital since Covid-19, why he became a nurse, and his reasons for wanting to work in pediatrics. He also breaks down his experience of nursing school and maybe some things one can expect in choosing this career. So thankful for friends, like David, who have been selflessly putting themselves in harms way to make sure those that are in pain are comfortable.
