June 17, 2024: Before sunrise, Jupiter is slowly appearing to form a morning planet necklace with Mars and Saturn.  After sundown, the moon is near Spica and Zubenelgenubi.

June 16, 2024: During morning twilight, preview Jupiter’s morning appearance in the east-northeast.  Mars and Saturn are in the region.  After nightfall, the gibbous moon is near Spica.

June 15, 2024: The Pleaides star cluster emerges from bright morning twilight.  Mars and Saturn are in the eastern predawn sky.  The moon nears Spica.

June 14, 2024: Mercury is at superior conjunction.  Mars and Saturn are visible before sunrise.  The moon is near Virgo’s Porrima.

June 13, 2024: Mercury is at perihelion. After sundown, the nearly half-full moon is in the southwest under the Lion’s tail.  Find Mars and Saturn in the eastern sky before sunrise.

June 12, 2024: An hour after sundown, the crescent moon evening moon appears in Leo’s belly.  Mars and Saturn are visible before sunrise.

June 11, 2024: The crescent moon is with Leo in the western sky after sundown.  Mars and Saturn are in the eastern sky before daybreak.

June 10, 2024: After sundown, the crescent moon is in the west.  Before sunrise, Mars and Saturn appear in the eastern sky.

June 9, 2024: The crescent moon is in front of Cancer, the Crab, to the upper left of Pollux.  Mars and Saturn are visible before daybreak.

2024:  Sirius’ heliacal rising occurs at different dates across the northern hemisphere.  Look for the star in the southeastern sky before sunrise.
