February 9: See the bright planets in Transition.  Venus, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter are visible during the night.

February 8, 2024: During bright morning twilight look for Venus and Mars through a binocular.  Jupiter is visible high in the southwest after sunset.

February 7, 2024: Find the February morning Venus-Moon conjunction in the southeast before sunrise.  Use a binocular to spot Venus approaching Mars.

February 6, 2024: Contrasting views of the morning planets occur from different latitudes.  Look for Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn.

February 5, 2024:  The February crescent moon approaches Venus before sunrise.  Jupiter and Saturn are visible after sundown.

February 4, 2024: February’s Scorpion moon is in the southeastern sky before sunrise.  Today is winter’s mid-point.
