How can you support children who have a predator parent?
This is a loaded question. Especially when you are already trying to distance yourself from your predator, setting up your own boundaries for self-care, how can you help your kids process and navigate their relationship with the predator when, quite often, it's not possible to cut ties completely?
In this episode, we explore what a parent can do to support their child. Although you won't be able to protect them from abuse, you can help your children by working to be the best version of yourself, creating a safe place for your kids to experience their emotions, and working with your kids to develop a language for understanding their experiences.
We hope this gives you some things to start thinking about and we hope you will engage with us further via Instagram, facebook or youtube!
