We all carry “storage units” in our hearts—places where we’ve packed away pain, betrayal, and disappointment. But what is it costing us to keep paying rent on our past?

In this message from Genesis 42–43, we look at the life of Joseph—a man who had every reason to hold on to bitterness, yet chose forgiveness instead. His story shows us that true leadership means letting go:
1) Before the moment—choosing daily release, even when no one apologizes.
2) In the moment—responding with grace when power and revenge are in your hands.
3) After the moment—continuing to forgive whenever the scar tissue flares up.
4) Forgiveness isn’t easy, but it’s the only path to freedom. You can’t hold on to your hurt and step into your healing at the same time.
