There are seasons in life when the exhaustion we feel goes deeper than physical fatigue. It’s not just that we need more sleep—we are weary in our soul. Stress, uncertainty, prolonged hardship, and the weight of many responsibilities can leave us drained in ways that rest alone cannot fix. Psalm 62 speaks directly to that kind of weariness: “Truly my soul waiteth upon God… He only is my rock and my salvation.” When our soul is tired, the answer is not simply to push harder, but to wait on the Lord—to depend on Him, trust Him, and place our confidence in His strength. As we spend time in His presence, in prayer, and in His Word, God renews what is worn down inside of us. When your soul is tired, let God become your rest, your anchor, and your strength.
