Season 6 of Where Are We Podcast starts right here with D4thegreat. We go behind the lens with somebody we’ve known for a minute, but this conversation is really about getting to know the person behind the camera.

D4 talks about his creative journey, finding his lane, and the different jobs and paths he went through before realizing some things just weren’t for him. We get into that moment of betting on yourself, especially when you’ve got real life happening around you and people depending on you.

From there, the conversation gets a lot more personal.

We talk family, growing up, relationships, and the things that come with trying to figure yourself out while also building a life of your own. D4 opens up about his family, the distance and dysfunction that came with growing up, and learning how to look at those relationships differently as he gets older.

Then we get into fatherhood.

D4 talks about having twin girls and the moment becoming a father really changed something in him. He talks about the pressure of being a dad, trying to give his kids the things he wished he had growing up, and learning that being a good parent also means having the patience to understand that your kids are going to be their own people.

We get into his Caribbean roots, connection, lifestyle changes, relationships, isolation, creativity, and learning when certain people or situations no longer fit where you’re headed.

And of course, this is Where Are We, so there’s plenty of bullshit, jokes, random conversations and moments where we somehow end up talking about everything from vices to waterbending.
