Rayna Brown sits down with me to discuss her work at the Hope Center in Springfield Massachusetts.
I am so excited to be talking with Rashida tonight. She has an extensive and impressive resume. She graduated from Springfield College with a Masters in Education and Educational Counseling. She then went on to work as the Regional Director of Residential Services for Northeast Center for Youth and Families. From there she went back to her hometown of St Croix and worked as the Deputy Commissioner for the Juvenile Justice Division of the Department of Human Services in the US Virgin Islands, and now is currently the Director of Juvenile Justice with the Center for Human Development. She walks us through the process of residential living for adjudicated youth and so much more!
Please join me and my daughter Sarah talk about her journey through voluntary and involuntary treatment and the process of what a Section 35 looks like in the state of Massachusetts.
This week I have a special guest. Chris Crescione, who is also my brother. He has an extensive career that includes the Navy Seals, Teach For America, and police work in the Maricopa Community College Police Force. Please join in to an amazing conversation about how police work is intertwined with the mental health and very special stories of his time with Teach For America.
Joan Erwin has not only been a dear friend and mentor, but incredibly knowledgeable in the field of addiction, and mental health. She is the former Senior Vice President of Business and Development at CleanSlate Centers, and currently works as the Senior Vice President of Innovation at Promises Behavioral Health. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for joining me on my first episode of RX#Express. I hope you enjoy our conversation.
This is a introduction to what RX#Express is and what we are going to discuss. I hope you can join me and our guests in our conversations about how to work towards creating a mental health system that is more effective and available. And thank you for all your support.
