In 2004, an armored car guard was shot dead outside a Phoenix movie theater by a man who fled with the $56,000 the guard had collected from the weekend movie receipts. Police discovered the suspect on the run is Jason Derek Brown, a Southern California man who was in debt. They also learned that Brown had been casing the area and following the armed guard’s move.
