Episode 22: Justin Silver '12 (former RA in Weinstein) is the Co-Founder and President of aavrani, an Indian inspired luxury skincare company launched in June 2018. Justin is also pursuing an MBA at Wharton. At Wharton, Justin is a Fellow for Penn Wharton Entrepreneurship, the William & Anandi Ebsworth Pratap Fellow, a Student Life Fellow, and received 1st Year Honors. Prior to Wharton, he worked in Private Equity at Beechwood Capital and TA Associates and Investment Banking at Credit Suisse. Colin Stayton, NYU CAS ‘06, was an RA at Palladium his senior year. Since then, he has put his RA experiences to work throughout his career in corporate marketing, then starting his own business, and now in pursuit of his current goal of becoming a pilot.

Stephanie Sciandra is an award-winning Associate Creative Director at Situation – a digital marketing agency best known for helping brands build passionate communities. Over the past decade, she has worked with some of the biggest names in live entertainment (Broadway hits like Mean Girls and the 2017 Tony Award® and 2018 GRAMMY Award® winner, Dear Evan Hansen), arts and culture (New York City Center and One World Observatory), television (NBCU Cable Entertainment Group), and social good (Ad Council’s "Love Has No Labels”). Prior to Situation, Stephanie spent time at Sony Pictures Entertainment, the Drama Desk Award®-winning TADA! Youth Theater, and the New Victory Theatre. Stephanie is a proud graduate of New York University where she received B.S. in Media, Culture and Communication from the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.

David Mitchell is a labor and employment attorney at Hogan Lovells in the New York office. While at NYU he was an RA in Alumni/7A. In his current role as a Senior Associate, David provides practical advice to corporate and management clients on labor and employment issues, including sexual harassment trainings, employment and consulting agreements, personnel policies, reductions in force, and wage and hour issues. He is the editor of the Hogan Lovells Employment Blog: All in a Day’s Work.

David currently serves as Vice President on the Board of Directors for SCAN (Supportive Children’s Advocacy Network) NY, a non-profit organization based in East Harlem and the South Bronx. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, including experience representing juvenile asylum applicants and a death row defendant seeking post-conviction review. Assemblywoman Nily Rozic '07 represents New York’s 25th District, which spans the Eastern portion of Queens, including the communities of Flushing, Queensboro Hill, Hillcrest, Fresh Meadows, Oakland Gardens, Bayside, and Douglaston. Upon her election in 2012, Assemblywoman Rozic became the youngest woman in the state legislature and the first woman ever to represent the 25th District.

Lee Hwang was a three year RA in Palladium on the Science and Tech floor. She was born in Columbia, Missouri, grew up in a small rural town in South Korea, and went to school in Amarillo, Texas, before moving to New York City to pursue an undergraduate degree in neuroscience at NYU. In addition to providing incomparable academic opportunities, NYU allowed her to grow as a strong-willed and well-rounded leader through her role. As she prepares to start her career as a brain tumor neurosurgeon, she realizes that many of her skills in patient care developed during those years at NYU when she was responsible for the physical, mental, and emotional health of her residents. She is finishing her work at the Cleveland Clinic as a 6th year resident and performs brain tumor research at NIH in Bethesda, MD.

Over the past decade, he's been fortunate to work with renowned thought leaders including Tony Robbins, Louise Hay, Wayne Dyer, Neale Donald Walsch and more. Jessica White graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2007, earning a BFA after double majoring in Drama and Psychology. She spent several years performing on stages in NYC and LA. In 2013, she began a post-baccalaureate program through UCLA Extension, earning a Certificate in Pre-Medical and General Science Studies. She is currently in her third year of study at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where she is enrolled in the MD/MPH dual degree program. She served as an RA at Alumni/7th Street.

Keith Haskel is a showrunner with a background in directing, shooting, writing and editing. Comedy, man-on-the-street and social experiment productions are his JAM! Also, pet shows... he loves making pet shows. Tommy Craven was a two-time Carlyle Court RA on the Food For Thought exploration floor focused on food and diversity while attending Gallatin for a film and queer studies concentration. He is an LA-based writer/producer currently working in creative development for NBCUniversal’s integrated marketing departments. His creative has appeared across all platforms within The Grammys, The Academy Awards, and New York Fashion Week to support brands such as Absolut, Mastercard, and Uber amongst many others. His work has been awarded two ProMax Gold Awards in advertising and is consistently featured on Brandtale and other industry publications. Personally, he enjoys recreational sports, road trips around California, volunteering, and cooking for friends and family.
