Who was Melchizedek? Who are we in Christ? How should we handle ourselves? 

Life is full of questions and the Church is not absent from these conversations. We have a great need for discussion within the Church today. Why is it that we are unwilling to budge in our stance, even when that stance is not lining up with God's Word? Why do we seek to change the Word rather than change our stance?

"All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work." - 2 Timothy 3:16-17

NOTE: We began with the intent of discussing Melchizedek...we did, along with a number of other things that were brought up along the way. 

We keep hearing over and over that we are in a war. What is the war? What are we battling? 

Paul addresses this in Ephesians 6, saying, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens." 

So what are we battling? It isn't our neighbor, family member, friend, or even a politician...it is against the evil...we must stand our ground...

Stand tall, stand firm...and put on the full armor of God.

Did Jesus have a sense of humor? Why do we view the Savior as so serious all the time?

What makes it so hard for us to view Jesus as human? Why is it so hard for us to see that He was just like us, only He did not sin? 

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who has been tempted in every way as we are, yet without sin." - Hebrews 4:15

Well....

Okay, maybe it does. What is our purpose and how can we be sure that we figure out our purpose in this life? 

No, this is not a self-help, motivational speech.  In fact, this is just the truth.  How do we find our purpose? 

Ask God.

"Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand." - Proverbs 19:21

There is life in Christ.

Ephesians 2:1 - And you hath he quickened (made alive), who were dead in trespasses and sins."

Life is full of tragedy.  The world will tell you that you cannot know why, but they're only partially right. 

Sin leads to death...and death comes for us all...but life isn't a fairy tale, but the story is similar.  Details inside!

No.  Not if you don't expect Him to be there. He's all around us and we miss Him daily. From creation to our neighbor, we miss Christ in our lives each day. 

Better yet, can you see Him in the Scripture?

Life is full of empty promises and empty people, but God doesn't make empty promises and he fills empty people. God fulfills His promises by leaving no doubt behind. 

Luke's account of the Resurrection Story leaves us no room to doubt the power of God and the promises he leaves behind in an empty tomb and empty grave clothes.
