What a surprise!

Would you listen to Songs from a Shell again? Why?

I think that this audio book will be listened to time and time again by my young niece, and is set to become a firm favourite. 'Songs from a Shell' isn't just an audio book; it's total entertainment from start to finish.

What other book might you compare Songs from a Shell to, and why?

To be honest I think that this book is totally unique. I've listened to audio books before and they just consisted of an actor reading the story. Not so with this one. The story is there, but it is enhanced by an absolutely brilliant soundtrack. It's one of a kind as far as I can see.

What does Jenifer Pederson bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you had only read the book?

I loved Jenifer Pederson's voice and her accent really set the tone of life on the beach in the summertime. Hearing the story brought it to life; far more than if you had simply read the book

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The whole book was fun and uplifting. I couldn't pick out one particular part that was better than the rest.

Any additional comments?

A fantastic audio book for young children. The soundtrack is amazing.

Speak Up Sally] by [Jupiter Kids] A very positive book. Sally overhears bullies talking and their plans to hurt another student. The dilemma she knows this is wrong and could a dangerous situation, but she does not know what to do. Say something or not..a friend (the type of friend we all should have) reassures her that seeking help is the right thing to do and gives Sally support as she talks to her teacher. A disastrous situation is avoided and her classmates are appreciative of her courage..Yeah!!

Full of Typos and Punctuation Errors.

There are several errors and typos in the book and the pictures don't quite go with the words. For example, a little girl is described as 'blond', but the picture is of a brown haired girl! Punctuation is missing in several places. The story isn't bad and my kids seem to like it. I may just need to fix the flaws with a marker so it doesn't drive me crazy.
