  • Adrian Burns: What Am I Bid?

It was night of good pours and good conversation as Dino and the boys sat down with Adrian Burns of Burns Auction and Appraisal. They dove into the world of collectibles with hopefulness that they were sitting on a collectible goldmine themselves... A Playboy magazine (Volume One/Issue One with Marilyn Monroe on the cover). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles still in the box. Ashes from the Mt. St. Helens eruption.

Adrian also talked about the always busy world of estate selling and some of the stranger things he’s come across in the process. Let’s just say a ball gag was in the mix and let YOU hear the rest.

  • McCauley Williams: When The Blue Note Hits The Right Note

This week on Whiskey Business, Dino and the boys had the pleasure of talking to McCauley Williams, President and CEO of B.R. Distillers in Memphis, TN. McCauley saw an opportunity to take the reins of one of the oldest distilleries in Memphis and started to making two notable whiskies: Blue Note Juke Joint Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Riverset Rye. Both brands have a combination of expressions that include small batches and single barrels.

Now you have one more reason to go to Memphis(aside from the food, and music history) because the whiskey they’re making is singing a fine tune as well. Enjoy this fun, entertaining and informative podcast.

  • Dino and The Boy: A Whiskey Business Wellness Check

This week (with John out of town) Dino and Greg sit down across the table from each other and record a show the "Good Old Fashioned Way" aka...just two mics and a bottle of brown stuff. They have a pour and make conversation about where we're at as things seem to be retuning to some sense of normalcy.

Did anything good come out of the pandemic? Did we discover anything about ourselves or others? Will pants become an everyday thing again?

  • Jesse Hubbard: Punk Rock and Cocktails
Whiskey Business welcomed back renowned bartender, Jesse Hubbard and this time around he didn’t mix a single drink! This podcast is all about his new book "Punk Rock and Cocktails". Hubbard paired 20 of his favorite punk rock bands with 20 unique cocktails to make and sip while you read.
We also shared a bottle of Blue Note bourbon from Memphis, Tennessee which is quickly making a name for itself. They will be on the podcast in late May to talk more about their Memphis mix.
This was also the return of “face to face” podcasting as we slowly get back to some sense of normalcy. Remote podcasts have been fun, but nothing compares to sharing a pour and conversation with friends in the same room. Enjoy this podcast. We sure as hell did. Cheers!

The Bravo Channel hit show, TOP CHEF starts its 18th season in Portland, Oregon and in the mix is Columbus’ own Avishar Barua from Service Bar Restaurant, an extension of Middlewest Distillery.
Dino and the boys asked just about everything they could except, “Who won?” That my friends we all have to wait for as Season 18 debuts April 1st.
Catch this insider’s chat on Whiskey Business about filming the show during a pandemic, how he was picked, and....does he consider himself to now be a “celebrity chef?”

  • Erin Go BUA
Dino and the boys had the pleasure of welcoming Pat Byrne of Byrne’s Pub to Whiskey Business to discuss a much anticipated St. Patrick’s Day a year after bars and restaurants were shut down, AND...his own Irish Whiskey BUA.
BUA made its debut last February in 2020, but when the world shutdown so did the opportunity to share this fine whiskey in bars and restaurants. A year later BUA is making a name for itself and deservedly so. This smooth drinking, triple distilled, non chilled filtered whiskey can stand tall amongst all the other Irish Whiskey favorites out there. BUA is Gaelic for “win” or “victory”. Yup. That makes good sense. Enjoy the BUA. Enjoy the podcast and stay safe people.
