Ever since they opened their own distillery in 2017, Bulleit has been doing some interesting things with their whiskeys, including higher-aged versions of their Bourbon and Rye, an American Single Malt, and even a Bottled-in-Bond. But now they’ve gone and done something truly unique by replacing the rye component in their own-make Bourbon with some mesquite-smoked malted barley. Will it be too smoky? Or not smoky enough?
