WHISPERS

A brand new series featuring poets from all over the world, sharing their experiences, giving poetic advice and rendering great pieces. This series will refine your view of poetry and you will understand, appreciate and love poetry

The piece SAY NO TO PORN is a free verse written and recited to show the effects of pornography and also to give a say in disapproval of it. It is inspired by the webinar on the same theme organized by Miss Sylvia Wilson, face of National Association of Akwa Ibom Medical Students- Worldwide

The piece FATHERLAND is an elergy. It's birthed as of the incidence that occurred on the 20/10/2020 in Nigeria, whereby seventy eight youths were cruelly shot dead while expressing their fundamental human right and also bearing the Nigerian flag while singing the National anthem. This was as a result of the peaceful protest with the movement #EndSARS

The piece "SCARRED" is a poetic dialogue between a battered woman and a priest. It paints the picture of the invisible chains of marriage vows. So strong that even in the face of violence and toxicity excuses are made just to uphold the vows. Are the vows worth the scars?

Dear Woman, Arise!

YOU ARE A VICTIM TOO is a beautiful blend of sung lines, pidgin english and pure english giving birth to a poem of appeal towards the end of the mayhem caused by the Federal Special Anti robbery Squad (FSARS), especially here in the southern part of Nigeria.

#EndSARS

The piece "Is it love?" is a poetic love story. It is an expression of how far one can go for love - in this case the love termed "Eros". Sometimes the questions to which you thought you had all the answers to could play a wild boomerang on you.

Just like every love story I hope there is a "happy ever after".

Lucifer is a symbolic piece referencing the males and how they are forced to dance to the offbeat tune of the society. "Speaking drums don't cry unless the hand gives it a try"- this piece is a cry for help, let the correct tune be played.
