    The government claims, “Nowhere do these statutes require that the BOP ‘immediately’ transfer an inmate to prerelease custody. 
    Rather, they provide that the BOP ‘shall’ transfer an inmate to prerelease custody ‘subject to bed availability’ and based on the ‘capacity to accommodate all eligible prisoners.’ 18 USC § 3624(g); 18 USC § 3621(b). 
    In other words, “shall transfer” really means “shall transfer at any time up to the date of the prisoner’s release,” date and “shall ensure there is sufficient prerelease custody capacity” really means the BOP need not transfer if there is insufficient capacity.

    It is advised for the patient/inmate to maintain an accurate, written timeline of events on a 📅 calendar and also keep all copies (and the original) of all relevant documentation📝 for future reference. This practice will help keep track of important details and ensure that all necessary information is readily available.✔️
