White Lie
a white lie A "white lie" is a small, harmless lie told to avoid hurting someone's feelings or to make things easier. It's not meant to be harmful or deceitful.
Examples:
1- When a colleague asked for feedback on their presentation, she told a white lie, saying it was great, even though she thought it needed improvement.
2- She told her boss that she was busy with work, even though she was just taking a break, to avoid getting more tasks.
