Rev. Keith invited us into the experience of the Magi this Epiphany Sunday. After their experience with Christ the Magi not only left in a different geographic direction, but they themselves were different as well.

Keith invites us to "drop the needle" on this first Sunday after Christmas by looking at Simeon's song in Luke 2:22-40, a song you may not be as familiar with. Keith invites us into the story of Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus the first few weeks of Jesus' life and also invites us to share Simeon's hope and anticipation. He suggests this Christmas we do not extinguish the light of Christ, rather we pass it on to others around us. Will you share the light?

Rev. Mitchell Boone wraps up Advent by taking a look at the role John the Baptist plays in this narrative. John isn't often a character we pay much attention to during Advent, but his question, and even his disappointment, are welcome in this space of waiting and preparation. As Mitchell stated regarding the challenges of this year, "We may be disappointed in God, but God is not disappointed in us... God is eager to show up."
We look forward to celebrating Christmas Eve with you all tomorrow. We will have services at 3:00pm, 6:00pm, and 11:00pm CST. You can find out more on our website:

Rev. Mitchell Boone invites us to take a deeper look into joy. To find and experience joy in the darkness we first need to understand what joy is, and what joy invites us to.
Mitchell reads one of the most read stories from scripture, the birth narrative found in Luke 2:1-7. What we have made into a spectacular story, when actually read in Luke is fairly ordinary. And maybe the ordinary is what needs to exemplified at this time, in this season. Ordinary Jewish family, in an ordinary Middle Eastern town - this is what leads to a mass change in the course of history. Ordinary.

Mitchell and Phil talk through the third Sunday of Advent and take a deep dive into Mitchell's sermon on Luke 2:1-7. They discuss the nature of joy, focusing on presence, and the significance of space - particularly what makes space sacred and how WFH (Worship from Home) can be a sacred space.
Let us know what you do to mark your space at home to make it an intentional worship experience.
