Ever heard Megan snot cry? No? Well, here you go. 40 wonderful minutes of snot. Let's be real guys. People ask how you're doing or comment on how much better you seem after going through something hard. They tell you they're proud of you for making the hard decision to go to therapy or they can't wait to get you upfront on Sunday to have you share with the class how you survived with God right by your side through the entire event. You politely tell them "thanks" and that you're "doing well". You really "enjoy" what you're doing with your life right now and you can "feel yourself healing". When in all reality you're on the struggle bus. You wake up rather upset that you woke up. You feel dirty, or sad, or at a loss. When you try to say something you're smothered with the "but you're doing so well" and the "therapy will help with that". No one wants to understand that healing still means that you're hurt. That sometimes you can't function and that is completely fine. So come cry with me on this wonderful mental breakdown episode.
