Best Ant Killer for Outdoors
The best ant killer around your home is with a backpack with Taurus SC. Treat one foot up and one foot out from the foundation. Look for the ant trails on the exterior walls. Be sure to read, understand and follow all pesticide labeling… It’s The Law!
What Equipment is Best for the Outside Treatment
The best equipment to use for the exterior of your home is at least a manual backpack sprayer. An electric backpack sprayer is best. Whichever you use, the backpack sprayer puts out more volume of product.
Treating the Inside of Home
Treating the inside of the home with dust and gel bait is best. Take the electrical plates off the wall where ants have been observed. Place a plastic tipped hand operated bellows duster into the void and release dust in the void. Using a gel bait with a plastic tip, place the gel just inside the electrical box.
After the Treatment
After the treatment, if there has been no hard driven rain, reinspect the exterior walls to confirm there are no more ant trails. These trails should be gone after two to three days. If the label allows, perform another treatment after 21 days.
According to the gel bait label keep treating the interior as you see ants. This may take a while if no ant trails have been seen on the exterior walls. You will want to replace any bait that has been eaten.
The dust in the walls will lasts a very long time as long as a stays dry.
