He talks about how the event came together and what he's looking forward to when the Medicine Hat Tigers take on the Kelowna Rockets in a pair of exhibition games. 

What a season for former Portland Winterhawks D Clay Hanus.  The Canada West Player of the Year and his Calgary based Mount Royal Cougars will play for a Canada West title this weekend in Saskatoon against the U of S.  Hanus joins us ahead of the final as he takes advantage of the WHL Scholarship program now in year three of University.

The Seattle Thunderbirds are pushing for the final playoff spot in the West.  Head Coach Matt O'Dette joins us to talk about the team's turnaround since the trade deadline.

What a season for Victoria Royals F Teydon Trembecky.  With 42 goals so far this season, his past weekend's performance earned him the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. We'll get his thoughts.

Whitehorse native Gavin McKenna will be the star attraction when his Medicine Hat Tigers take on the Kelowna Rockets in a pair of exhibition games.  McKenna - also the Tempo WHL Player of the Week - will be our guest.

Canada's win at the Four Nations Face-off has aided by nine WHL alumni.  We'll hear from some WHL Head Coach / GM's on the significant win and what the championship game can teach you. 

Finally, Calgary Hitmen G Daniel Hauser is on a roll.  He's picked up three shutouts in his last four starts. He's been named the WHL Goaltender of the Week - he'll join us to wrap up the show.

The WHL has a new top-5 when it comes to all-time Coaching Wins.  Kamloops Blazers Coach/GM Shaun Clouston has vaulted into the 5th spot after back-to-back wins. We'll have more on that.

The Kelowna Rockets had a special guest at practice this past week.  Buffalo Sabres F and WHL Alum Zach Benson was skating with the Rockets and his brother Levi. We'll have that story.

Finally, Kamloops Blazers F Tommy Lafreniere is the top scoring WHL rookie forward to begin the weekend. We'll hear his story on how he's excelled this season.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes a look at Vancouver Giants Head Coach Manny Viveiros and his two-pronged battle with Cancer a few years back.  In conversation with the WHL's Cami Kepke, Viveiros talks about the physical and mental battle he went through and how he sought help.

Prince Albert Raiders D Daxon Rudolph has entered the chat. The WHL Rookie of the Month for January is coming on strong as he takes his place amongst the best 2008-born players in the WHL.  More from the 1st overall pick in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

Speaking of rookies, Tri-City Americans F Savin Virk is the WHL Rookie of the Week after putting up seven points in three games including his first ever WHL hat-trick.  He'll be our guest.

WHL This Week - Radio Edition, takes you back to a marquee Wednesday Night in the Dub match-up.  The Medicine Hat Tigers were lead by a Gavin McKenna hat-trick in a victory over the Everett Silvertips to stretch their winning streak to 10.  McKenna - a potential 1st overall pick in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft - recaps the big night and tells us why the Tigers are finding success.

The WHL is talent-laden for the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.  NHL Central Scouting features several WHL players within it's top 20 rated skaters in North America.  Director of NHL Central Scouting Dan Marr sits down to discuss some of the top WHL talent. Find out who his favourite player in the Draft Class might be. 

The Brandon Wheat Kings are back home after a whirlwind seven game Western road swing.  Defenseman Quinn Mantei capped the final three games of the trip with eight points to be named the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. He's our guest to wrap up the show.   

WHL This Week - Radio Edition features three players who captured weekly WHL Awards and a longtime Coach & General Manager honoured this past weekend by the New York Islanders.

Spokane Chiefs F Berkly Catton has been on a tear lately. The Tempo WHL Player of the Week makes up one half of the most dangerous WHL duo along with Andrew Cristall. We'll hear from Berkly.

The Medicine Hat Tigers are on a roll heading into the weekend as they lead the Central Division by a point. Goaltender Harrison Meneghin claimed the WHL Goalie of the Week award and joins the show.

The WHL features a talented class of 16 year-olds (2008-born) across the league. One of the rising stars in Vancouver Giants D Ryan Lin.  He recently set a new Vancouver Giants record for points in a season by a 16 year-old D. We will hear from the top prospect for the 2026 NHL Draft.

Finally, Red Deer Rebels President & General Manager Brent Sutter was inducted into the New York Islanders Hall of Fame in a special ceremony.  Sutter played on Long Island from 1980-1991. We will take you back to that ceremony.

We have reaction from some of the big moves around the league.  The Spokane Chiefs acquired F Andrew Cristall from the Spokane Chiefs - Spokane GM Matt Bardsley calls Cristall a "special player".  Bardsley joins us to talk about the blockbuster deal.

The Lethbridge Hurricanes landed World Junior D Caden Price from the Kelowna Rockets. Hurricanes GM Peter Anholt tells us why the "Price was Right".

The Prince George Cougars landed a coveted top-six forward in Ben Riche from the Saskatoon Blades.  We'll hear from both Riche and Cougars General Manager Mark Lamb.

Also, the Tempo WHL Player of the Week is Evan Friesen of the Wenatchee Wild.  He'll join us to wrap up the show after a 10 point week.

We'll take a look at a disappointing ending to Canada's World Junior Tournament in a loss to a WHL-laden Czechia team.  Hear from Czechia import for the Edmonton Oil Kings Adam Jecho and Kelowna Rockets Czechia forward Jakub Stancl as they advance to the semi-finals. Czechia features seven players from WHL Clubs.

The WHL's Trade Deadline is seeing some early movement.  The Calgary Hitmen have been busy. They added 20 year-old G Daniel Hauser from Wenatchee on top of several other roster bolstering moves.  Hitmen General Manager Gary Davidson is our guest.

The Saskatoon Blades have begun the rebuild after trading veteran F Brandon Lisowsky to Victoria. Blades GM Colin Priestner explains the move.

What will the Tri-City Americans do? Ams GM Bob Tory gives us a debriefing just six days before Thursday's deadline.

WHL This Week, has a special Friday the 13th edition as we take a look at 2025 IIHF World Junior hopefuls for both Canada and the USA.  Hear from several players at Canada's Selection Camp from the WHL including Berkly Catton of the Spokane Chiefs, Caden Price of the Kelowna Rockets and others in a bid to wear Canadian colours.

On the U.S. side, Edmonton Oil Kings D Blake Fiddler is trying to do the same thing for his home country. He'll be our guest.

Also, former Portland Winterhawk Tyson Kozak made his NHL debut this past week with the Buffalo Sabres. We'll go back to that moment for the 21 year-old who also scored his first NHL goal.
