The 2020 article (published before the Daleks! series released in November) cited below is from someone who has liased with the Nation Estate before, and says ‘From personal experience and the accounts of many others, the former agent for the Terry Nation estate, now passed, proved a long-standing road block to developing new Dalek-related projects, even when Terry himself was enthusiastic about them’ and ‘What’s changed is that Terry’s family are now directly involved in the creation of any new Dalek projects – and this five-part CGI animation launching in November this year, the final, missing piece in Time Lord Victorious, is a welcome result of that’. This is the closest I could find to any public word regarding the Nation Estate and the Daleks! series, and suggests a positive contrast to prior endeavours — but it is essentially supposition just from someone who has pitched to the Nation Estate before, and plenty of varied opinions flew around the Daleks! series before it actually came out.
