Donny Herron, Jr was murdered on the early morning of June 6, 2016, by three masked gunmen during a home invasion in Grandview, Missouri. 

Donny was the backup quarterback for Missouri Western. He quit school when his son was born in order to take care of his family.

After he was shot three times, Donny was able to make his way to the back bedroom to check on his girlfriend and young son.

Before being taken to the hospital, an officer asked Donny, "Who did this to you?" Donny's response was "B up the street."
