In 1957 Ayn Rand wrote a classic novel “Atlas Shrugged,” that described what can happen when we demonize the wealthy job creators in our society. Who is John Galt is a question that deals with the fact that there is a point and time when the wealthy reach their tipping point. In Atlas Shrugged, the job creators simply vanish, leaving the government left with a major shortage of revenue.
