"Capitalist" America's workplaces have become increasingly socialist.  In socialist societies, the creed stands: "from each according to their ability, to each according to their needs."  This naturally raises the issue of who determines who is most in need? quickly devolving into the people at the top in the socialist society helping out their friends and family.

The same is becoming true in the American workforce: hard work is not rewarded--instead it is usually punished with more work.  Meanwhile, those who don't work still receive pay (often commensurate with the hardworkers' pay) and are moved to "fake" positions where they can do no harm to the company because it may be more paperwork than its worth, or even worse, a lawsuit or PR nightmare to fire them.

So what is the game theory to win in a socialist society?  Quiet Quit.  Work as little as possible, and you will effectively have achieved a pay raise--do it well, and the raise will be substantial.
