Fruit bowls. Boxed wine. Fake Tudor beams. We used to think that was luxury.
Now we’re calling out what was never posh, what is now, and what the future holds (AI butlers?).
Plus: Top top 5 poshos.
Who Remembers Spangles? is hosted by 'Comedy Buoys' promoter Paul Dunn (Pablo) and Lowestoft-born comedian Scott Adams.

In this episode, teenage Ross and Pablo park themselves in front of the telly (Kim Wilde poster proudly behind them) to argue over the Top 5 celebs who make your skin crawl — not because they’re sinister, just deeply, endlessly annoying. You know the type. Smug grins. Overexposed. Always on your screen, whether you like it or not.
We also take a nostalgic look back at the truly rubbish TV from the 70s and 80s — the baffling game shows, wooden acting, and low-budget madness that somehow made it to air.
It’s gripes, groans, and guilty pleasures galore. Don’t miss it!

This week on Who Remembers Spangles?, Ross and Pablo follow their noses into the Top 5 Smells We Shouldn’t Like But Do. Expect a mix of nostalgia, shame, and strange satisfaction as they confess to loving the scent of creosote, old off licences, and even slightly damp dogs.
Things then take a philosophical (and hormonal) turn as we debate sex before marriage, with Pablo comparing modern relationships to an Assured Shorthold Tenancy—“rolling contracts, no security, and you still have to do your own cleaning.”
Oh, and in a moment we can’t legally scrub from the edit, Ross reveals the precise date of his first onanistic triumph. It’s oversharing. It’s unnecessary. It’s pure Spangles.
Plug in, breathe deep, and prepare your inner teenager—this is Episode 40.

Ross and Pablo chow down on monstrous pork chops while diving headfirst into the weird and wonderful world of childhood myths! In this meaty episode, we reveal our Top 5 dumbest things we believed as kids (spoiler: one involves werewolves). Plus, we lift the lid on the chaos caused by stink bombs and the shady world of anonymous Facebook posters. Prepare for laughs, disbelief, and a couple of meat sweats on Episode 39 of Who Remembers Spangles?

This chat was recorded a while back on a podcast that didn't work out and has been pulled from the internet. I understand that newer comics found it a worthy listen so I've been meaning to upload it. Hopefully an entertaining chat too. I mean that's the whole point of a podcast. Unless you're Megan Markle I suppose.
Anyhow....it finds a home here. We're back with the proper pod next week after I get back from Marrakech. 😁
