Colleen Stan, The Girl in the Box, was a young woman from Oregon who spent seven years as a sex slave to a California couple.

This is a very surface level presentation of this case because some of the details are honestly pretty intense and I didn't feel right bringing up all of the ways Cameron Hooker tortured Colleen while she was captive in his home. Huge trigger warning for sexual assault and torture.

This week, we introduce the Pig Farmer Killer of Canada, Robert Pickton. He was convicted in 2007 of killing six women although he is though to be responsible for at least twenty more, with a possible count as high as 49. Pickton was a pig farmer in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia and is alleged to have fed the remains of many of his victims to the pigs on his farm, as well as using the meat grinder available to him to grind up human flesh. 

This one is pretty wild and really stranger than fiction.

In this freaky fast Friday episode, we discuss the details surrounding the double murder of Haile Kifer and Nicholas Brady by Minnesota homeowner Byron David Smith. Smith was apparently terrorized by previous burglaries and took the law into his own hands on Thanksgiving Day 2012 when he lured Kifer and Brady into his home, hid in his basement, shot them as they came downstairs and then executed them after they fell to the ground. This case was a big issue on whether or not the castle doctrine would protect Smith under "self defense". The jury said "no" after Smith's own home security system caught some incriminating audio and video.

Happy New Year everyone! We decided to take last week off for the holidays since we didn't have any pre-filmed episodes.

This week though, we're back with a longer episode and it's a bit of a journey. I'm hoping that this doesn't come off as disjointed at all because apart from the disappearance, there is also a lot of information regarding how the Dutch duo died in Panama.

Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon arrived in Panama on March 15, 2014 and less than a month later, they went on a relatively easy hike and never returned. Apart from this, there just seems to be a lot of details that would lead everyone to believe that this was not an accident, even though this is the official ruling.

This week for our (late) freaky fast Friday episode, we talk about the Los Angeles hotel, The Cecil. Many gruesome deaths have haunted this hotel since its birth in 1927 and it even inspired (at least one) TV show.
