School Food Matters takes students on a journey from farm to market.    

Students attend a school assembly to learn more about where food comes from then participate in a chef-led culinary class where they perfect their own chutney recipes using in-season produce. They visit a farm to harvest the ingredients for their chutney, design labels and price their product to sell in Whole Foods Market stores. Located in London, UK.

Roots for the Home Team pairs students and chefs to create garden-grown salads at Major League Baseball games.

The program provides youth leadership and entrepreneur skills development that expands the career goals of those who participate. In the process, they gain culinary skills, sales and marketing experience, courage, confidence and a better understanding of who they are and what they care about. They work together to cultivate their personal and professional growth so they can create the future they want.  Located in Minneapolis, MN.

Green Garden Bakery creates vegetable-based desserts then donates the proceeds back in to the community. 

GGB grows vegetables in their community garden, bakes them into healthy vegetable-based desserts for every diet (vegan, gluten free, sugar free), and markets them using sustainable practices. They sell the desserts for “pay-what-you-want” and donate  proceeds back into their community. Located in Minneapolis, MN. 

The Gains Creek Campus of Austin Montessori School is home to middle school students who are articulate, compassionate and entrepreneurial beyond measure!   

In this community there is a farm manager, a chicken manager, a  microeconomy manager, a finance manager - and they are all students! Located in Austin, Texas. 

The American Heart Association Teaching Garden started as an entrepreneurship program that has grown in to a farmer's market creating opportunities in marketing and business skills for high school students.

Students go through a two phase process to incorporate entrepreneurship skills by selling the produce they grow at farmer's markets at the school. The students design their markets, including marketing, harvesting, selling, etc. The produce is then sold on a “donation” basis. Located in Los Angeles, California. 

Crop Shop, an innovative school farmer’s market created by Land to Learn, integrates entrepreneurial learning into a thriving school garden. 

During harvest season, students pick and prep fresh produce from their garden and other local growers for sale on campus. Hear how they set up their Crop Shop along the sidewalk adjacent to the pick-up line at their school so parents can both pick up their child AND freshly grown veggies!  Located in New York’s Hudson Valley.
