With our latest bonus episode behind us it’s time to move on to another show. What could be more happy and chill than cooking monsters in a dungeon?! That’s why we decided the next stop on the tour was going to be, Delicious In Dungeon.

Join us this week as we contemplate the possibility of wearing a book like Flava Flav does a clock, lament the changing ways of British TV institution Blue Peter, and take a trip back in time with the cult classic song, United States of Whatever!

[Episode 1] Hot Pot/Tart: After a crushing loss, Laios, Marcille, and Chilchuck quickly reenter the dungeon to save Falin, but this time, they have a foolproof survival plan.

[Episode 2] Going Too Far: Cossette returns as the third member of ACROSS, and gives Excel and Hyatt a potion which causes the two to switch bodies. This results in hilarious hijinks, as Watanabe takes Hyatt (in Excel's body) to a love hotel, and Excel (in Hyatt's body) adjusts to a far weaker body. Meanwhile, Nabeshin chases That Man's clones, and Il Palazzo plays guitar with the Mohawks on his three day break.

As 2025 marches on we continue our attempts to watch Anime with a happier skew. This has led us to watch the 1988 classic, Dominion Tank Police. Boy, do they love tanks!

Join us as we discuss that spider-tank vibe, contemplate the existence of penis-shaped mines, and uncover the link between anime and The Teletubbies!

[Bonus] Dominion Tank Police: In a dystopic pollution ridden future, the tank police fight for law and order and cause massive collateral destruction along the way.

Excel Saga is done! We have completed it! Does it make sense?

Join us this week as we identify the constant use of innuendo, marvel at the blood fountain, and discuss the brazenness of showing your own adverts as part of your show!

[Episode 25] We Will Not Be Held Responsible: Il Palazzo has gained superhuman strength, and battles both the Daitenzin and Excel, who is seeking answers after regaining her memory. Meanwhile, Pedro, Sandora, Nabeshin, and his fallen comrades face off against That Man in a final battle.

[Episode 26] Going Too Far: Cossette returns as the third member of ACROSS, and gives Excel and Hyatt a potion which causes the two to switch bodies. This results in hilarious hijinks, as Watanabe takes Hyatt (in Excel's body) to a love hotel, and Excel (in Hyatt's body) adjusts to a far weaker body. It’s the penultimate episode!

Join us this week as we discuss how much of a monster Kenshiro truly is, marvel at the Spaceballs style stunt double joke, and question the seriousness of the serious episode!

[Episode 23] Legend of the End of the Century Conqueror: When F City falls into ruin due to the events of the previous episode, law and order cease to exist and powerful gangs rule the barren wastelands. It is up to Excel to restore order back into the chaos. Little does she know that there is a sinister plot to do her in for good, from the last place she would expect.

[Episode 23] For You, I Could Die: In an episode devoid of humor (as per Koshi Rikdo's orders), Excel suffers amnesia from the deep trauma received from the previous episode, Ilpalazzo tries to come to terms with the decisions he had made, and the Department of City Security vows to stop ACROSS, once and for all.

Things somehow get even weirder this week as we continue our coverage of Excel Saga!

Join us as we discuss how on point the sexual innuendo is, realise that one of the characters has a striking resemblance to Jessie from Team Rocket, and try to count the numerous other anime references!

[Episode 21] Visually Appealing Type: Key, a visually appealing musician, arrives at the ACROSS base to deliver (or rather sing) a message from ACROSS HQ to Lord Ilpalazzo. However due to lack of inspiration, Key is unable to deliver the message. Frustrated (and jealous), Ilpalazzo orders Excel and Hyatt to look after Key until he is able to deliver the message.

[Episode 22] Invasion, Mother: The Puuchus are back, and this time they mean business! In a nod to Leiji Matsumoto, as well as the Gundam series, the Puuchus wage war over the invasion of Earth, and Excel is caught right in the middle of it!

Steve is now very unclear about what we’re watching and if he’s seen it before…more Excel Saga!

Join us this week as we ask where the futon came from, realise that Menshi means “ground meat”, and question why there are so many episodes involving a character that doesn’t exist in the source material!

[Episode 19] Menchi's Great Adventure 2: Around the World in 80 Hours: This episode is another homage to animal shows. Menchi makes a trip around the world with a young industry heiress, who, when she isn't plugging Alps Electric, is being hunted by an evil and bloodthirsty assassin, who has a score to settle with Menchi, too. Meanwhile, Hyatt and her senior are sent by Ilpalazzo on a world-spanning mission to find special objects that would ensure the final victory of ACROSS over all else once and for all.

[Episode 20] The Best of Mr. Pedro: This episode recaps all that has happened to Pedro since the Koshi Rikdo Assassination Plan: his death, supernatural affair with the Great Will, discovery of his family's betrayal with Gomez, and his drowning by That Man. It also advances his subplot by showing just how sinister and powerful That Man is. Nabeshin and Sandora arrive to help, to dubious but comedic effect.

More Excel Saga is upon us, and by proxy, you!

Join us this week as we discuss America & Japan’s geolocation, the concept that the more you exercise, the more corporeal you become, and realise that perhaps Rikdo is a victim in all of this!

[Episode 17] Animation USA: In a parody of Americanized anime, Excel and Hyatt are sent by Ilpalazzzo to reconnoiter in the United States, but Excel's poor English starts them on the wrong foot with the locals in the Land of the Free. Fortunately, they are rescued by none other than Pedro's son, Sandora, who has run away from home. Later, Excel must marshal the combined powers of American and Japanese animation to confront and conquer the ever-growing army of the New York Mafia.

[Episode 18] Municipal Force Daitenzin: The Department of City Security is outfitted with the latest in Sentai suit technology to contain and eliminate every threat to the city even more effectively. They now are able to blow up anything with this new technology, and promptly do so – thus resulting in things gone out of hand all around the city, unless they find a way to remove the Daitarn suits. This episode references Rikdo's earlier manga, which bore the same title.

It really feels like they’re running out of ideas with this show…oh well, back to Excel Saga!

Join us this week as we discuss the sheer lack of ideas this show has to offer, a child-pedal-powered limousine, and the limited animation of Ivor the Engine!

[Episode 15] More! Prop Memorial: Ropponmatsu returns, but Iwata is furious to discover that the new Ropponmatsu, Unit 2, is in the shape of a young, annoying and mentally irritating cat-girl. Following in her predecessor Unit's footsteps, Ropponmatsu Unit 2 engages Ilpalazzo's newest bomb-delivery system, a mobile bomb, the T-10000 – in reality Excel disguised as a large panda bear to avoid attention and suspicion. Things look bad for little Unit 2, but fortunately Ropponmatsu Unit 1 returns in the nick of time.

[Episode 16] Take Back Love!: This episode is a parody of the yuri genre. Due to a fatal programming error made by Gojo, the two Ropponmatsus fall in love with the ACROSS girls, leading to a robotic crime spree, a para-military showdown, and an indecent assault by Unit 2 on Excel. The title is a reference to the theme song of the Fist of the North Star anime series.

We are back! And it’s time for more Excel!

Join us this week as we discuss the corruption in society that’s so strong it causes dominos to fall, the existence of a paedophile doctor in this show, and Blossom from Powerpuff Girls making a random appearance!

[Episode 13] The New Year's-End Party Hidden Talent Contest!: A recap of the series to present, in the form of a Japanese New Year's television special, in which Hyatt and Excel compete to determine the New Year's Winner. The contest is judged by Excel Saga celebrities, and Ilpalazzo endeavors to provide some entertainment, but is exceptionally frustrated by the world's ongoing corruption – and interference by the Excel Girls.

[Episode 14] Prop: In a desperate effort to raise ratings, the animators give the Department of City Security a new member: Ropponmatsu Unit 1, a beautiful, bionic robotic bombshell of a bomb-disposal expert, who becomes Iwata's new fetish. The timing is auspicious, since the agents of ACROSS are planning to deliver a bomb to City Hall. While they fail in their task, City Security loses Ropponmatsu in the encounter.
