Dave and Justin discuss Red Notice, the #1 show on Netflix this week. In the world of international crime, an Interpol agent attempts to hunt down and capture the world's most wanted art thief. Ashley and Ashley both loved the fact that Ryan Reynolds (and his bottom) were in this film, but were otherwise unimpressed. Dave was absolutely appalled at the safety issues involving the improperly installed scaffolding in the opening scene. Justin struggled with the supply-chain logistics of a mountain-top Russian prison enclave.
Is it better to go back to giving home made Christmas gifts instead of buying mass produced crap being shipped from overseas?
Dave and Justin discuss Arcane, the #1 show on Netflix this week. Here’s the official synopsis: Amid the stark discord of twin cities Piltover and Zaun, two sisters fight on rival sides of a war between magic technologies and clashing convictions. Professional actor and gaming nerd Matt Lacas joins the boys this week to gush with Justin about how awesome this show is, and explain to poor Dave why his life is impoverished because he is not a gaming nerd. Dave seems to agree.
Question from a listener: my brother and sister-in-law recently treated my parents and I to dinner. The bill was $257, yet she left a tip of $10 in toonies, loonies, and quarters. After they left I went back and gave the waiter $30. Was I wrong to do so?
Dave and Justin discuss Love Hard the #1 show on Netflix this week. After meeting her perfect match on a dating app, an L.A. writer learns she's been catfished when she flies 3,000 miles to surprise him for Christmas. Diane, who lives in the woods, joined the lads to reveal that she has never heard of catfishing before. Dave explains how this film caused him a week’s worth of introspection and confusion as he tried to figure out how he felt about it. Justin explains why this movie about catfishing wasn’t about catfishing at all.

The correct names of the books that Justin screws up in the episode:

Dave and Justin discuss Army of Thieves, the #1 show on Netflix this week. In this prequel to "Army of the Dead," a mysterious woman recruits bank teller Dieter to assist in a heist of impossible-to-crack safes across Europe. Dave didn’t enjoy this at all, and spent the entire film waiting for an explanation of the Army of the Dead time loop paradox that never appeared. Justin loved this film and identified with the nerdy German safe-cracking protagonist. Ashley sort of liked it at first but learned to hate it in the end. The group was divided, but all did agree that it would be worth their time to go to an underground safe-cracking tournament in Berlin the next time they’re in town.
Ann: When is it ok for stores to have Christmas stuff on the shelves?
Dave and Justin discuss Night Teeth, the #1 show on Netflix this week. Here’s the official synopsis: A young driver picks up two mysterious women for a night of party hopping. But when his passengers reveal their true nature, he must fight to stay alive. Ashley joins the lads as the official new co-host, and immediately regrets it. Matt is back for his third appearance, and takes the opportunity to explain why he enjoyed watching “horny for blood” vampires. Dave reminisces about waiting in his mom’s car in the Yarn Barn parking lot. Justin is sad that nobody liked the blonde lady-vampire’s faux undercut.
