Just kidding. Everything is fine. Like it usually is...
This week we're talking about Fear-Mongering in the Media. We've all heard it, or seen it, or read it. That little snippet of something intended to alarm us and ensure we "Tune In at 11" for the rest of the story. It's ridiculous, and Nomi's got a lot to say about it.
The latest was this horrible, deadly, tragic, monstrous Hurricane Hilary that went to SoCal. Not only was it just another typical Summer rain for us, but the amount of time and energy that people wasted trying to scare each other in preparation for it was just plain stupid.
Can we just fast-forward a little bit to 2024, have Marianne Williamson come and save us, and our country can stop being stupid and terrible to each other? That would be nice.

Nomi has been alluding to this episode for years now. If she's not talking about 90's Fashion, she's talking about her favorite 90's movies, or 90's music, or her life in San Francisco in... you guessed it... the 90's.
We chat about a few of our favorite things from the 90's, why it was so formative for us, and why a specific OC Housewife is a terrible person who deserves to suffer in a Ryan Murphy Netflix show.

You know we're the biggest fans of Disney's Haunted Mansion ride, so we were getting pretty excited about the newest movie this Summer. Especially considering that it's been 20 YEARS since the first film in 2003 with Eddie Murphy, which left us wanting so much more.
But... we were sadly disappointed again. Take a listen and let us know what YOU thought of the latest in the Disney Marketing Department's attempt to cash in on beloved original Intellectual Property based on theme park attractions.

This week Nomi talks about one of her absolute favorite things, 90's Fashion, with one of her absolute favorite people, 90's Supermodel and Founder + creator of Runway Rogue Beauty, Patrica Hartmann!
After being discovered in her native Germany as a teenager, Hartmann went on to appear on the covers of Vogue Italia, Harper's Bazaar and Elle Magazine, among many others. She walked the runway for labels including Chanel, Christian Dior, Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana and was signed up as the face of Maybelline and L'Oreal.
From the beginnings of the Waif Wave, to what it means now to have Celebrities instead of Models on Magazine Covers, Nomi and Patricia take a wonderful catwalk down the runway of memories.

Like much of the US, Nomi has just started on her path to a more healthful self with the help of Ozempic (or specifically in her case, WeGovy). But four weeks into it she can't find it anywhere to continue her treatment!
Why is it so popular? What does it even do? And where can we get some more? Find out more about Nomi's experiences with the latest Weight-Loss-Wonder-Drug on this week's episode.

We know you're not supposed to talk about Money, Politics, or Religion when you've got relatives over for dinner. So come sit by us and we'll chat through all the nitty-gritty about why religion can sometimes be frustrating, ridiculous, and even dangerous! Not all of them of course, and not all people, but you get what we're talking about.
This week we've got a frank discussion about what religions mean to us, why we struggle with the idea of organized religions, and what we think may be in store for us in the next life. Or is this all just a simulation? Will we ever know?

Our pal Steven is back for more, and talking about his experience owning a Small Business and the struggles he's faced over the last few years. I'm sure a lot of you can relate, and maybe you have your own insight? From the decline of effective online-advertising, digital monopolies, and ghost competitors, how does one make it out?

Zombies are on the loose! It seems like every horror film, show, game has some sort of Zombie Apocolypse attached to it these days. From The Walking Dead and it's multiple spin-off shows, to the latest craze surrounding The Last of Us, it seems like people can't get enough of the undead.
Is it a good thing? Is it lazy? Or is it all fair game? Let's chat about re-animators!
