On this episode of Talking Buffalo, Patrick Moran is joined by Matt Warren of SB Nation to discuss several topics, including pouring over some of the reasons the Buffalo Bills should feel confident heading to Kansas City for their AFC championship game against the Chiefs on Sunday evening.
The Bills are headed to the conference title game for the first time since 2020, when they went to Arrowhead and lost to the Chiefs, 38-20. A lot has obviously changed since then, or has it? The guys have a discussion about how Kansas City has remained the creme of the crop in the AFC (and NFL) and even when they win close and/or ugly games, what matters most if they always win. Plus, it seems over the past few years that guys like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Chris Jones and others always ramp up their games in their postseason.
That said, Buffalo has plenty of things to be confident about. The guys talk about how for starters, they beat them earlier the season in Orchard Park. The guys also discuss the Bills ability to score on anyone, including two dominant defenses already in the playoffs as well as they're familiarity with the Chiefs, Josh Allen not turning the ball over and an overall vibe about this year's Bills team we've been talking about all season.
That plus discussing a few X-factors, lingering Baltimore Ravens thoughts and plenty more.
Major props to Talking Buffalo sponsor, Sonny Red’s at 1841 Abbott Road in Lackawanna, just minutes from Highmark Stadium. We consider them THE most underrated spot for wings, pizza and other great food in Western New York plus it’s a great place to drink and have a great time.
