Why did God create Satan if he knew what he was going to do?

How do you show love to someone who treats you, as if you don't exist? And how do you pray for someone who treats you in this way? 

Hebrews 6:4-6 is a sobering warning. It seems to suggest that if we fall away from Jesus, we can never come back. Is that what it really means??
