Why Focus Is The Most Important Business Skill You Can Develop - Day 1967

Listen Later

Today I made the difficult decision to close two businesses - my cafe and meal prep company. Both had potential, but they failed for one simple reason: lack of focus. On day 1967 of my daily running streak, having covered 19,670km in my barefoot-style journey towards 40,075km, I reflected on the brutal parallels between running and entrepreneurship. You cannot run multiple marathons simultaneously and excel at any. The same applies to business. With 90% of businesses failing anyway, splitting your attention virtually guarantees failure. Every successful venture I've built received my undivided focus during critical stages. Just as every step of my mission to raise £1M for children's causes requires unwavering commitment, entrepreneurship demands singular focus. This episode explores why choosing what not to do is as important as what you do pursue.
