I got way into the nitty gritty in this episode asking alllll about design! This is not my strong suit so it was fun to dive into that and hear how I can make my space more cozy and well decorated. She gives so many great tips on how to find our style and cozy up our spaces.

Wow – this energy is full of energy, excitement, joy, and great advice!
Coach Will Elliott is on the podcast today! He is a teen and parent coach. He coaches teens on their time management, personal growth, motivation, character building. He serves as bridging the gap between parents and teens. This is interesting – he is only 25 years old! I love this because it wasn’t that long ago since he was a teen so his passion pairs well with his knowledge.
His business is Next Gen Student Coaching and he helps kids with goal identification, making clear plans, success principles, habits, accountability. He has an app as well where he does live coaching sessions once a week. It is such a cool business, I have never seen someone in this space like him so I am excited for you to hear his story today!

This episode with Amy Kiefer was so much fun! It will feel like you’re just listening in to two friends chatting and catching up on all things business, podcasting, and friendship. Filled my cup for the week!
Amy is the co-host of the Herself Podcast and the Pursuing Her Purpose Podcast. She is also the co-founder of Expecting and Empowered. Amy is a former RN. She hosts the Herself Podcast with one of her best friends. And get this – they just bought a vacation home together! This was so much fun to talk about with Amy. It sounds like a dream for me and Amy gives us the ins and outs of that.
One of the things that we talked about in this episode that I really loved is that your business can grow and change with you and with the audience as you grow and change. This really resonated with me regarding this podcast. It was a fun conversation about following what you are passionate about and interested in.

There was so much in this episode that I needed to hear and I hope that you all find the value in it, too!
Dr. Cara Goodwin is a child psychologist. She runs the nonprofit Instagram account called the Parenting Translator. She also has a podcast and a substack page for that where she shares research. She translates recent scientific research into information that parents can actually use. This concept is SO cool because you know that all that she is sharing is ad-free and simply her dissection of the research. Cara is doing really great work over there!
Cara is also the mom of four so she understands what it’s like implementing this research first hand with her own kids. We had a great conversation in this episode about just that – when gentle parenting and other parenting techniques simply don’t work with your kids! I loved talking about that because we all have great intentions to implement these strategies but each of our kids are unique and need something different. We also talked about how to help your anxious child, what anxiety looks like in children, school avoidance, and more!
To wrap up this episode, we talked about what a Tradwife is allllll of our thoughts on that. This term was new to me and I’m curious to hear what you all think. I know you’ll be going down a rabbit hole of researching this after hearing our conversation!
What we talked about:
4:45- Dr. Cara’s work
9:25- What she does when the research doesn’t work in her own parenting
16:10- Talking about anxiety with our kids
24:50- School avoidance
28:30- A conversation on gentle parenting
