Why So Serious Pop Culture and Movie Review Podcast

Brandon, Devin and Mike are back for the first episode of 2020. We did no prep for this episode just caught up kicked it, talked some marvel, DC and entertainment news and of course we played fact of fiction.

We are joined by Valiant Comics Editor Heather Antos and the PwTorch's Rich Fann to review the finally of the most recent Star Wars trilogy, Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker. 

This film was a lot. So much going on on screen, behind the scenes and it did not turn out great. Some of us enjoyed it for what it was, others hated it but we all saw the main theme of this film which was to overwrite episode 8.

We are back for our Star Wars Rewind this time reviewing Episode 6 - Return of the Jedi. This film is better than we remember but still not "good" but it was fun and George Lucas really did build an incredible universe.

We are joined by Old Man Wade from the Old Man Wade Show and Sharmane from the BlerdComixed podcast for our Star Wars Rewind and this time we have a double shot reviewing Episode 4 A New Hope and Episode 5 Empire Strikes Back. This was a fun spirited discussion of the good, bad and ridiculous in the original series.

Brandon, Mike and Big Mike are back for another Star Wars rewind and this time we are done with the terrible films and we got to review the best Star Wars film anyone has ever made Rouge One. This film thematically, cinematically and as a Star Wars is to us no question the best film. We get a story that is important to the main cannon, planets we never saw before and soo much more.

Brandon, Mike and Devin are joined by our Pod Sister Stephanie from the Mocha Minutes Podcast to catch up and talk all the news of the week including Black Widow, Wonder Woman, Tesla, and Robots in they feelings.

Brandon, Mike and Devin are back for another Star Wars Rewind leading up to Rise of the Skywalkers and we are joined by a very special guest Valiant Comics Editor Heather Antos. Heather who formerly was an editor at Marvel and worked closely with the Star Wars books and the new films is here to review the film she hates most Revenge of the Sith.

Brandon, Mike, Devin and Big Mike are on another road trip. This time we are on the Road to Rise of the Skywalkers. Mike came up with this idea so we decided to go back and watch all the Star Wars films in chronological order starting with The Phantom Menace.

Generally we do this on the Comic Book History 101 Podcast but Brandon and Old Man Wade thought this was important enough to do a simulcast. 

We are here to discuss the Marvel Comics reboot (essentially) of the X-Men. Jonathan Hickman is a genius and our favorite writer and these stories are perfect examples of why he is so great. These books establish a new era for the X-Men and turn some things on its head while introducing some new ideas that will play out in the future.
