Why So Serious Pop Culture and Movie Review Podcast

Brandon and Old Man Wade are back to review The Boys Vol.1 since the new Amazon Show is out. This book is just as crazy as we remember. We talk about how messed up The Seven is, the interesting relationships between The Boys, some of the crazy moments involving secondary characters and more.

Brandon, Rashanii and Devin are here to review the 2019 reboot of Shaft. While this film has some good action and some entertaining moments it was hard for Brandon and Rashanii to get past the bad messaging in this film.

We understand that their is a place for all representation of blackness in the right story but this story basically encouraged toxic masculinity to the point of making a better person worse and portraying him as better.

Brandon and Rashanii are joined by Mike and Devin to discuss the last MCU film of 2019 Spider-Man Far From Home. This film is another very good film by Marvel they are becoming so good at these that people expect greatness. This film is not Endgame nor should it have been. We talk about Mysterio as a villain, Far From Home compared to Homecoming, Marvel understanding characters and more.

Brandon, Mike and Devin are joined by 2 of Mike's nerdy friends to talk move and TV news plus a spirited conversation about AI and if the rate we are evolving is actually a good thing or a bad thing.

Oh yeah and we kick off the show talking about all the racist tears that Disney cast Halle Bailey as Ariel in the upcoming Little Mermaid Live Action Film.

Brandon, Mike and Devin are joined by Jeff from the Jeff Vs. The World Podcast this week. Unfortunately the first 20 mins of the show was lost but we still had a great time.

Brandon and Devin are joined by our good friend Reese from The Introverted Nerd Watches Podcast. We talk about a whole bunch of things including Batman The Long Halloween, Daria, Anime, Dark Phoenix and so much more.

Brandon, Mike and Devin are back to recap the Pop Culture news of the weeks. This week we cover E3, Pennyworth, A Quentin Tarantino Stark Trek Film and so much more.

Brandon, Devin, Mike, Stephanie and Sharmane (The X-Men Crew) is back to bury the Fox X-Men forever and oh yeah review this terrible movie Dark Phoenix. This film was so bad in so many ways that we spend about 40 mins just laughing, and celebrating the end of Fox ruining our favorite comic book properties.

Brandon, Devin and Mike are joined by Stephanie and Sharmane to go back and review X-Men Last Stand, X-Men Days of Future Past and X-Men Apocalypse \. Yes we need to have better self care but we did it so we can properly lay the Fox X-Men movie series to rest and give it its proper burial after Dark Phoenix.

Brandon, Devin and Mike are back after a hiatus. We will be back to our weekly shows going forward but we had to take a break to handle some business. As a result we did not do any planning for this episode so we talk about Mike doing white stuff, random news and the shows we are watching.
