Treasa Murphy spoke to chair of Storied Kerry/ Ciarraí Scéalach Frank Lewis, former Tánaiste Dick Spring, and director of Storied Kerry Eamonn O' Reilly on the launch of new projects to celebrate the legacy of St. Brendan the Navigator. The early Christian missionary was born in Fenit in the 5th century and is best known for an epic voyage across the Atlantic. The project aims to celebrate his life and achievements by gathering archived materials for further study, developing a story centre, instigating walks and talks, and celebrating his legacy through art.
