Fertility rates across the Western and developed world are plummeting year over year since the 19th Century.

In America, after the postwar baby boom, birth rates continued their downward trajectory.

As of 2024, the total fertility rate (TFR) in the United States was about 1.84 children per woman. This is obviously below the golden number of 2.1 that a population needs to sustain itself.

Many people have brought attention to this crisis, notably Elon Musk.

And it IS a crisis. A place like America could cease to exist because Americans for whatever reason either will not or cannot produce future generations.
