It may seem antithetical- a story about a gruesome crime where the details are deliberately kept fuzzy so that it doesn't upset the reader. It's also an incredibly popular genre in crime fiction.
This week we got to talk with Elizabeth S Craig, the best-selling author of the Myrtle Clover, Southern Quilting and Memphis Barbeque series. And if that isn't enough work for one person, Elizabeth has just launched her latest series, the Village Library Mysteries.
Elizabeth talked about how she got into writing, how much she writes every day (spoiler: it's an impressive amount), and how much of mystery writing is applicable to the old 'write what you know' adage.
You should check out Elizabeth's website, which includes her great blog about writing and links to all the different websites and bookstores where you can get her books. And on our YouTube page, check out a bonus clip, where we talk with Elizabeth about what she reads for fun and living a writing life.
There's been a lot of books written about Disney World, but nothing like Blu Carson's Dark Rides: Erotic Theme Park Adventures. Blu talked with us about the inspiration for the book, what she's learned from writing the book and when (if ever) Volume Two of her book will be coming out.
And, for more Blu, check out our YouTube page, where you can listen to an outtake from our interview where she talks about some of the reasons people didn't give the book five stars and how she wanted to answer those reviews.
To pick up a copy of Blu's book, you can order a signed copy from Bamboo Forest Publishing, or you can order a copy on Amazon or Audible.
What are you going to do when the zombie apocalypse is upon us? Are you ready? Can you really ever be ready for an army of the undead? We spoke with Cameron Carlson from the Zombie Research Society, who helped us come up with a plan for the day the zombies rise up as one.
He gives us some tips on how to be ready, where you should go when it goes down and what we can hope to be when it happens.
For more information, check out the Zombie Research Society's website, or you can follow them on Twitter.
Black Pudding lobbing is no joke. It's been around since the War of the Roses. This yearly tradition continues on in Ramsbottom, where black puddings are lobbed at Yorkshire puddings on posts high above competitors.
Why do they do this? Well, in previous iterations, it was a continuation of an ongoing battle, but today it's to raise money for local families in need of a little assistance.
We talk with Jimmy Cunliffe, the current organizer of the event and Gillian, the social media person with the competition.
In many ways, Why exists because of John Sauve. (Not that he'd want us to advertise this fact.) But John's real love is art and sculpture. We sat down with John to talk about his Man in the City project, showing his work on the Highline in New York and how you get the permits to float a giant orange man down the Chicago river. For more information on John's work and the Sauve Art Foundation, check out his page on Facebook.
And you thought your job was exhausting...
Jay Rankin saw it all as a doorman at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Working the graveyard shift, Jay saw a side of Vegas they don't advertise in magazines, and he learned a lot about people by seeing them at their best and their worst. Jay's taken these experiences and written about them in his book Under the Neon Sky. It's a fascinating read and we're not just saying that because Jay was on our show.
For more information on Jay, check him out on Facebook, or to order a copy of the book, head over to Amazon.
You've heard the legend of the Loch Ness monster. But if you want some facts, you need to check out Gary Campbell's website. Gary's archived every single sighting of Nessie, starting in 546 AD up to today.

And that's not all. If you have any questions about the history of the monster, or the history of the Loch, Gary's your guy. Check out his website for more info.
Shellie Blum was the first female freestyle waterski ramp jumper in the world. Yet, shortly after this incredible feat, she broke her neck attempting a record setting jump.

We talk with Mini Gene about the joys of rock stardom, what the fans are like, what Gene Simmons thinks of the band and, most importantly, whether it's possible to text Dr. Love now. This show was made for lovin' you.
