Why We Don't Give Standardized Recommendations to All of Our Clients

If you’ve ever sat on the other side of the table with one of us in a nutrition session, you may have caught on to us avoiding using absolute terminology.

  • “You have to do this….”
  • “If you do this, you’ll lose/gain this….”
  • “Don’t eat this food”
  • “Only eat these foods…”
  • That’s because, the reality of it is, you don’t have to do this or never do this. We are all about taking what’s called a client-centered approach. Instead of having standardized “rules” that we give clients, we listen to where you are at in your healthy lifestyle journey - your current exercise routine, foods you love, drinks you love, and where you want to eventually be in your healthy lifestyle journey….just to name a few. We are here to help motivate you through your own journey at your own pace, while giving healthy lifestyle recommendations along the way. Today we are going to talk to you a little bit more about our healthy lifestyle recommendation process and how we counsel our clients at AYB to help them achieve their best and healthiest self.
