Why Would You Show Me This? is a podcast where hosts Will and Dani show each other films that they would not otherwise watch to get an outsider prospective and also, to torture each other a little bit. Each new episode will feature a different film to discuss and dissect. You can expect Will to pick more arthouse type films while Dani sticks with the more mainstream fare. As the podcast goes on, there will be guests coming on to talk about the films chosen or even bring films on to watch! Either way, one of them is probably going to have a bad time.

For today's episode, we discuss the Guy Ritchie directed 2009 film, Sherlock Holmes! Starring Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Rachel McAdams, Mark Strong and Kelly Reilly. This was Dani's pick since Will has not seen this yet. As well as the film, they discuss Sherlock's history, Sherlock and Watson's relationship and a Shanghai Noon crossover film.

For our first episode back after a few live streamed episodes, Dani has picked Hellraiser: Deader. Will is currently watching all of the Hellraiser films since he hadn't seen any of them besides the first film.  So Dani thought, why not make the film he's on the film for the next episode? So here it is! Hopefully you enjoy this episode more than Will and Dani did watching the film.

Another classic film pick from Will this week. Fritz Lang's film, M. It was a delight to watch this for the first time in over a decade and to show it to Dani for the first time as well. It brought up a great discussion about criminals, their interworkings and the justice system. Listen and find out if Dani liked it!

Finally, Will has another pick! He chose Ken Russel's 1971 controversial masterpiece, THE DEVILS! Starring Oliver Reed and Vanessa Redgrave. This was one where Dani could have gone either way. See which way she does!

Dani's last in her recent string of picks is the early 2000s teen thriller, fatal Attraction.... oh wait, I mean, Swimfan. Yes, Swimfan. If you know Will, I think you'll know how he feels about this one.

Well, this sure was an experience.  Dani's 2nd to last pick this week is Popeye, starring Robin Williams and Shelley Duvall. And only one question was ringing in Will's head the entire time: who the hell was this movie made for?!

A little bonus episode this week! We watched Armageddon the other day, purely for personal reasons. It was Dani's first time seeing it and she was so frustrated by the experience that I thought it might make for a good episode.
