Why Yes, We're Friends episodes

  • 57 - Super The Cream Always Rises to the Top 2

Brendon and Ronnie reveal the Top 10 games on Rolling Stone's Top 50 Video Games of All Time list. Along the way, the fellas talk about places Huell Howser found California's Gold, marvel at the strange naming scheme of Super Nintendo games in the States, and reflect on how Tetris was a favorite of our mothers and grandmothers alike. Brendon drops some music theory when discussing Super Metroid, confuses David and John Attenborough, and argues that Final Fantasy VII isn't even the highest ranked Final Fantasy. Ronnie uses Half-Life 2 as a barometer for a games list's legitimacy, is still scarred by his playthroughs of The Last of Us (and it's sequel), and misses the short-lived Super Mario 35.

  • The Halftime Show - The Funky Promosapiens

Brendon and Ronnie are always podcasting, even outside of the material for normal episodes. This conversation happened before the recording for "The Cream Aways Rises to the Top of a List of Fury."

Brendon and Ronnie take a short reprieve from video games to give a sports report. Ronnie talks about going to an Anaheim Ducks game, and how great it was to see Islanders coach Patrick Roy willing to lose by 3 to keep Ducks fans from getting free fried chicken sandwiches. From there, they run through other promotions, talk about how In-N-Out isn't really "fast" food anymore, and remember the iconic promo that MADE Stone Cold Steve Austin.

  • 56 - The Cream Always Rises to the Top of a List of Fury

Brendon and Ronnie discovered a Top 50 Video Games of All-Time list... from Rolling Stone?! OK. They're taking the list from 50 and working their way to the tippy top! Along the way, the fellas remember the days of LAN connecting original XBoxes to play Halo, reveal their Street Fighter II mains, and wonder if The Sims was grooming us to the machinations of Capitalism. Brendon kicks ass at Tekken games while holding his controller in a strange fashion, explains how Winco Foods got their name, and has a Little League coaching pro-tip: Wear cleats. Ronnie learned that war really is hell watching Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, recalls how the turnips in Animal Crossing: New Horizons turned him into the Wolf of Wall Street, and discovers that hot dogs are one of the reasons why a certain sports game made the list.

  • The Halftime Show - Rest In Peace, George Lowe (Godspeed, Space Ghost)

Brendon and Ronnie are always podcasting, even outside of the material for normal episodes. This conversation happened before the recording for "Puck à l’Orange - A Second Helping of Hockey Logos and Tiers"

While figuring out what they were going to say to end the episode, Brendon and Ronnie reflect on a seminal icon of their youth -- George Lowe, the iconic voice of Space Ghost. (The one from Space Ghost: Coast-to-Coast, not the original Hanna Barbera space superhero.) They remember how Coast-to-Coast sparked what eventually became Adult Swim, how adversarial Space Ghost was as a talk show host, the song "Space Hos" by Dangerdoom, and how the show's first three main characters might have represented the Id, Ego, and Superego.

    Dedicated to George Lowe (1957-2025)

  • 55 - Puck à l’Orange - A Second Helping of Logos and Tiers

Brendon and Ronnie are back with the rest of their Logo-A-Go-Go and Tiers Catalog combo for the NHL! Along the way, the fellas make predictions as to when Alex Ovechkin might pass the All-Time Goals record, wonder out loud if "Canuck" is a derogatory term, and determine that they both played kickball differently. Brendon gets bleeped talking about the Utah Hockey Club, and, as the son of an English teacher, figures out why they're the Maples Leafs and not Leaves. Ronnie adds the Arizona Coyotes and Atlanta Thrashers to the end of an alphabetical list, and asks why capital city teams always go with a derivative government themed name.

  • The Halftime Show - Fernet Days and Louisiana Knights

Brendon and Ronnie are always podcasting, even outside of the material for normal episodes. This conversation was stitched from breaks for "Puck Curry - A Dish of Hockey Logos and Tiers"

The fellas are drinking to a year of podcasting! And showing how the sausage was made. Ronnie tells a hilarious tale of a wrestler mixing up Los Angeles and Louisiana, and the two strike up an in-depth conversation about Fernet Branca.

  • 54 - Puck Curry - A Dish of Hockey Logos and Tiers

Brendon and Ronnie are combining some favorites with an NHL Logo-A-Go-Go and ranking them into a Tiers Catalog! Along the way, the fellas declare the Mighty Ducks logo ripe for bootlegging, have the longest tangent to date, and ask, "What exactly IS a predator?" Brendon found a Field of Dreams in Brentwood, cuts deep by mentioning a long lost frozen yogurt chain, and misses Badaboum. Ronnie still doesn't care about the wins and losses of Spring Training, thinks a logo looks to be wearing platform shoes, and fails (for better and worse) at setting aside personal biases with certain teams.

  • The Halftime Show - Four Conversations

Brendon and Ronnie are always podcasting, even outside of the material for normal episodes. These conversations were recorded during breaks for "1995, Open 'Til Midnight!"

In these interludes, they discuss what "Ass Pennies" has done to Ronnie's YouTube algorithm, honorably mention several more 1995 movies that didn't make the main episode, talk about the differences between Best Buys in Oxnard and Thousand Oaks, and reveal their Forever Crushes.

  • 53 - 1995, Open 'Til Midnight!

Brendon and Ronnie are going back to 1995 again. This time to talk about movies released that year. Along the way, the fellas do some bad impressions of Adam Sandler, reveal their favorite James Bond films, and name the fighters they played most in Mortal Kombat. Brendon remembers a pizza joint that also delivered VHS rentals, and reveals what he might do for this year's family Halloween costume. Ronnie believes in a conspiracy where Billy Corgan has scrubbed the internet of his work from the 00's, and has been to New Jersey a couple of times. Oh, and Christopher Walken may or may not have stopped by again.

  • The Halftime Show - A Guest/Madden Nightmare Blunt Rotation

Brendon and Ronnie are always podcasting, even outside of the material for normal episodes. This was a conversation during the break for "The Old Adventures of The New 52."

In this interlude, they talk about Costco's rotisserie chickens, remember the movies of Christopher Guest, give insight into their (lack of) D&D note taking, and call John Madden a savant. Oh, and Jordan Peele's Obama is an American treasure.
