Why You Should Attend The Hershy RV Show

Listen Later

Welcome everyone! I'm Lesa McDermott, co-host of the Girl Camper podcast. We're thrilled to share insights on the much-anticipated Hershey RV Show, taking place next week. Joining us today is Heather Leach, the executive director of the Pennsylvania RV and Camping Association, who sponsors America's largest RV show.
Meet Heather Leach
Heather's role involves everything from advocacy and legislative work to organizing the Hershey RV Show. The show runs from September 11th to 15th (2024) and showcases the latest 2025 RV models—a first in the country.
Heather shares that the Hershey RV Show has been a major event for 55 years. Initially a combo show with the Manufactured Housing Association, the RV show grew into a standalone event, becoming a manufacturer's showcase rather than a dealer's show. This flexibility allows attendees to easily navigate and find specific RVs.
Why Attend?
Not only can attendees explore an impressive lineup of over 1,500 RVs, but they can also buy and interact directly with manufacturers. This year's show features several exciting giveaways, including a 2025 Flagstaff tent camper and other outdoor gear.
Engaging Activities and Educational Opportunities
The Hershey RV Show offers various educational seminars covering topics like selecting an RV, RV maintenance, and maximizing your RV experience. Heather emphasizes the importance of planning your visit by mapping out must-see exhibits and wearing comfortable shoes.
The Evolving RV Industry and Women
Heather notes significant shifts in the RV industry, particularly the growing influence of female consumers and women-led businesses. Organizations like the RV Women’s Alliance have made strides in technical training and support, further empowering women in the field.
Plan Your Visit
The show's full schedule, including meet-and-greets with industry influencers like Janine Pettit and myself, is available on largestRVshow.com. This event is not just an RV showcase but a community experience offering valuable insights and a sense of community for newcomers and seasoned RV enthusiasts alike.
Conclusion
Thank you to Heather Leach for sharing these insights about the Hershey RV Show. If you're in the area, don't miss this incredible event. Janine and I will be at the influencer area on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM—come say hi! Follow Girl Camper online, and don't miss out on our exciting future episodes and events.
Until next week, happy camping!
