Wide Open Agriculture’s (ASX: WOA) chief executive officer Jay Albany joins Small Caps to discuss the company’s recent acquisition of leading European lupin protein producer Prolupin.

The acquisition provides Wide Open with immediate commercial production capacity in a dynamic environment for the development of plant-based protein products.

Wide Open is already eyeing off the strategic opportunity to take advantage of Propulin’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to add European production of the company’s lead Buntine Protein product.

The company is preparing to upgrade the Prolupin facility to lift production to 1,000 tonnes per annum.

The company is also planning to leverage Prolupin’s established business to business network in the European plant-based dairy market and its own significant pipeline to supply large global ingredient and food manufacturing companies.
