In 2004, the renowned theologian and philosopher David Ray Griffin published a book called The New Pearl Harbor: Disturbing Questions About the Bush Administration and 9/11. He was referring to a document released in 1997 by neoconservative think-tank, Project For A New American Century (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_for_the_New_American_Century) called Statement of Principles, Rebuilding America’s Defenses/. The document declared that to mobilize public opinion to support America’s 21st century military agenda, a “New Pearl Harbor” would be needed.



Griffin (https://bohemian.com/unquestioned-answers-1/) and numerous other “coincidence theorists” noted how conveniently the 9/11 attacks were used to justify the War on Terror, the Afghanistan invasion and Iraq War that have become the Forever War, with no end in sight. It also produced the so-called Patriot Act, which has led to the routine, thorough surveillance of American citizens that we have been asked to accept as “the new normal.”

Well folks, there is now a NEW “new normal” thanks to the current COVID crisis, that seeks to install more surveillance and more encroachment of natural rights and human liberties. Our guest this week, is MD and vaccine expert Dr. Meryl Nass. She, along with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. of Children’s Health Defense, has produced a well-researched – and frightening – document that offers damning evidence that effective early treatments for COVID-19 were intentionally withheld so that vaccines could be fast-tracked without trials as emergency measures.

Given how much we heard about how Donald Trump’s failure to handle the crisis and how many lives were lost as a result, it may be that many, many more lives were lost because these treatments were withheld.

Is this conspiracy theory or con’s piracy reality? Is there a smoking gun, and if so, what can be done about it?

Meryl Nass is on the front lines in this battle over – well, over which reality prevails.

Meryl Nass, MD, ABIM, is an internist with special interests in vaccine-induced illnesses, chronic fatigue syndrome, Gulf War illness, fibromyalgia, and toxicology. As a biological warfare epidemiologist, she investigated world’s largest anthrax epizootic, in Zimbabwe, and developed a model for analyzing epidemics to assess whether they are natural or man-made. She is also an expert on Gulf War Syndrome and its relationship to the anthrax vaccine given to troops. She has played a major role in creation of a coalition that has fought the Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program, and is active in assisting legal teams defending anthrax vaccine refusers and ill service members in the U.S. and Canada.

After doing more than 150 interviews on Wiki Politiki over the past three-and-a-half years, I’m putting myself on the other side of the mike, thanks to my colleague and co-heart, Veronica Entwistle, host of Paradigm Shifters Radio. She did an interview with me last month for her show and with her kind permission we are re-running it on my show.

I must say that in the time since we launched Wiki Politiki in the fall of 2017, I have learned so much and been so inspired by the evolutionaries and solutionaries I featured, that I wanted to offer a “we are here” assessment of our – you know the word – shituation at this point.

When Lyndon Johnson was President, there was a popular riddle. How can you tell when the President is telling the truth? When he wiggles his ears, he is telling the truth. When he scratches his nose, he is telling the truth. When he rubs is eyes, he is telling the truth. When he opens his mouth … he is lying.

We the people have been acculturated to being lied to by politicians, and now it is becoming clear that it’s not just the politicians – it’s the entire political system, including the corporate media – that is lying to us.

Ever since the Jonestown massacre more than 40 years ago, the term “drink the Kool-Aid” has been used to describe weapons of mass-deception. Today however, that Kool-Aid has been rebranded as “fine wine”, as people are being asked to buy the notion that ONLY the vaccine will protect us from the deadly COVID germ and allow us to return to “normal.”

Our guest this week, Jack Reed, just wrote a compelling essay called “Kool-Aid”, where he lays out deception after deception, from the Gulf of Tonkin attack that didn’t happen, to the Patriot Act passed in the aftermath of the 911 attacks, to the current lockdown of both people and information during the COVID-19 crisis – each of which has increased the power of the state, and diminished the power of the people. In the middle of this essay, he suggests that maybe what we need is a vaccine against deception.

The closest we have to that is recognizing the patterns of deceit, and cultivating the courage to see them and call it out.

And the good news is … in addition to being able to unblinkingly look at the awful truth, Jack is a clear-eyed visionary able to point us toward the world we want instead – and offer practical ways to get there.

Interview with Author, Journalist and Professor Mark Crispin Miller

As the Swami has been telling us for years now, the body politic is one sick puppy, suffering from irony deficiency … truth decay … electile dysfunction … and most recently from bi-polar disorder.

As a result, what we used to call democracy is in the intensive care unit – and those who intensively care about its survival are finding themselves more and more marginalized. Fortunately, we still have that bastion of truth, academia, where in the spirit of the Free Speech Movement more than half a century ago, academic freedom is alive and well as professors and students freely and frankly discuss the most divisive issues of our time.

Oh … wait a minute.

That must be happening in a parallel universe.

In this universe, a professor who has literally written the book on propaganda – or at least wrote the preface to one – is on the verge of being fired for teaching about propaganda. His crime? Pointing out the propaganda being promoted by the university itself.

Fortunately, his colleagues at the university have bravely rallied around him, and …

Oh … OK. That too is happening in a parallel universe.

Oh, well. All’s well that ends Orwell.

Our guest today, Mark Crispin Miller, has been fighting “notseeism” for decades, courageously pointing out those uncomfortable truths that others choose to not see. Now he is embroiled in his own battle to keep his position at NYU, after unmasking the propaganda about masking, and being guilty of “hate speech” – now defined as saying anything that the power structure hates to hear.

Mark Crispin Miller earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University in 1971, and his doctorate in English from Johns Hopkins University in 1977. He is currently a Professor of Media, Culture and Communication at New York University. He is the author of several books, including, The Bush Dyslexicon: Observations on a National Disorder, Cruel and Unusual: Bush/Cheney’s New World Order and Fooled Again: The Real Case for Electoral Reform (2007).

Miller is the editor of Forbidden Bookshelf, an e-book series that revives important works now out of print, most of which were variously killed at birth. He also wrote the introduction to the 2004 edition of Edward Bernays’ book Propaganda. He is also editor of News From the Underground.

And now for something completely different…

While we think of politics as extremely “this-worldly”, this week we are going to explore the otherworldly domain of near-death experiences and their implications for how we perceive life and death, and conduct ourselves in this world.

This is a personal issue for me. When I was eight years old, my dad suffered a near-fatal heart attack, and afterward reported what would now be termed a near-death experience. While he was unconscious, his sister Betty, who had passed just a month before, beckoned to him from across a bridge. For some reason – possibly because he had two young boys to take care of – he declined the invitation and returned to this world. He lived another 18 years, long enough to see his boys grown up and on their way to fulfilling lives.

As a boy, I continued to read about these experiences in Reader’s Digest, probably the only publication in the 1950s and 1960s that would give the experience credence.

Fast-forward to 1980, when I was teaching a creative writing class for adults at the University of Michigan. One of my students was Dr. Bruce Greyson, at that time the emergency room psychiatrist at University of Michigan hospital. He was working on a story with a metaphysical theme, and one week when he was out of town, I was surprised to receive an installment from him in the mail in an envelope marked, “University of Virginia, Department of Parapsychology.” Needless to say, I was intrigued. When he returned, I asked him about it. He looked around to make sure I was the only one who could hear him. He then told me he did his psychiatric residency working with Ian Stevenson (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Stevenson), who was investigating children who remembered past life experiences. (I will save the full story for the interview itself.)



In any case, Bruce and I stayed connected over the years and he has made the study of near-death experiences as his life’s work. As a scientist without a religious belief system, he has been relentless in seeking some physical explanation for the anecdotal data he received from patients who had vivid memories of what transpired when their brains were “dead”. These individuals quite often knew things they had no business knowing – including the awareness of loved ones who died while they themselves were unconscious and would have had no way of finding out.

Do these inexplicable experiences that defy linear logic and scientific dogma have implications for the awakening needed to transform politics? I say they do!

Bruce Greyson is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences at the University of Virginia, and is author of After: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Reveal about Life and Beyond (2021), co-author of “Irreducible Mind” and co-editor of The Handbook of Near-Death Experiences (2009). He has written many journal articles, and has given media interviews, and has been called the father of research in near-death experiences.

America – and indeed the world – is living in two parallel realities.

In one reality, experts are lauding the new vaccines as the only way to liberate us from the COVID pandemic and lockdown. Those who are “vaccine-hesitant” or doubt the efficacy of masking and social distancing are seen as science-deniers and ignorant, selfish Trumpsters.

In another reality, the vaccines – particularly if made mandatory or de facto mandatory via vaccine passports – are viewed as untested, potentially dangerous, and an attempt to install medical totalitarianism. Critics of the “vaccine as savior” policy point to the censorship and de-platforming of any alternative views – including successful treatments of COVID cases that make hospitalization unnecessary – and wonder how many deaths could have been avoided had these simple and inexpensive treatments been publicized and made widely available.

So who – or what – is right? Is there a middle ground as this seeming reality chasm widens?

This week, we have re-invited a guest we had earlier this year, Diane Perlman, to discuss vaccine passports, censorship, polarization, and the psychological barriers to seeing the whole picture. In the wake of the “woke” culture and Black Lives Matter movement, there has been much focus on white privilege, and how the lives of privileged white people differ radically from those of people of color. While all this is undoubtedly true, and those people continue to suffer “micro-aggressions” from unconscious white folks, it’s the MACRO-AGGRESSION that nobody wants to talk about.

That macro-aggression is the dominator meme that we conveniently mistaken for “the way things are” that impacts us all, reflecting the domination exploitation paradigm that permeates every institution in our society. And while the Doctrine of Discovery stems from the Papal bulls issued in the 15th century giving white conquistadors the right to rape, pillage and massacre non-Christian people, it goes back further than that. In fact, we might look at the Inquisition as the perfect example of “white-on-white” crime. Domination is a fundamental theme of patriarchal religion, as well as secular scientific materialism focused on the 3 M’s: Materialism, Money, and the Machine.

Our guest this week, Native American legal scholar Steven Newcomb, has been with us before. Today, he is here to go deeper into this pervasive paradigm, to help us address three key questions: What’s so? So what? Now what?

Steven Newcomb (Shawnee, Lenape) is one of the world’s leading scholars on the Doctrine of Discovery and Domination, as well as the author of the best-selling book Pagans in the Promised Land: Decoding the Doctrine of Christian Discovery (Fulcrum, 2008). In 1972 a book was written that was designed to change the world. The book, the Limits of Growth, was the first report issued by the Club of Rome, an organization founded by Italian industrialist Aurelio Peccei and Scottish scientist Alexander King in 1968. The report warned that economic growth could not continue indefinitely because of resource depletion. It went on to sell 30 million copies in more than 30 languages, making it the best-selling environmental book in history.

And yet … here we are nearly half a century later, and experiencing peak everything. The book was remarkably prescient … but apparently had little impact. What happened? And … what can be done about it?

Our guest on Wiki Politiki, David Korten, is a member of the Club of Rome, and has devoted his work to bringing about what he calls an “ecological civilization.” Writes David about the “epic choice” we face:

It is sadly true and truly sad. What has come to be known as globalism can also be called gobble-ism, as it has become a way for those with way too much money and way too much power to gobble up our planetary resources, and keep the world’s population armed against one another. To keep this system in place, there is a system of “impropaganda” perpetuated by a media controlled by a few corporate players. In other words, globalization = gobble-ization = Goebbelization.

Fortunately, there is an awakening – an upwising – by those who see a new kind of global engagement that comes from bottom up awareness instead of top-down imposition.

Our guest this week, Jonathan Granoff, President of the Global Security Institute, is truly a voice in the bewilderness, who recognizes that our current way of pursuing “security” is both obsolete and obsolethal. Instead of promoting endless growth – that is, extraction of nonrenewable resources – and preserving peace by preparing for war, we need to encourage the cooperation necessary for sustainable living and development. I know, I know. He is proposing a sane world. He must be crazy.

My sense is that he is calling forth a “sane asylum” where we find and cultivate the sane and sacred center that represents our true human potential.

Jonathan Granoff is an attorney, author and international advocate emphasizing the legal and ethical dimensions of human development and security, with a specific focus on advancing the rule of law to address international security and the threats posed by nuclear weapons. He serves on numerous governing and advisory boards including: Lawyers Committee on Nuclear Policy, Fortune Forum, Jane Goodall Institute, the NGO Committee on Disarmament, Peace and Security, Parliamentarians for Nuclear Nonproliferation and Disarmament, and Middle Powers Initiative. He is a recipient of the Rutgers University School of Law’s Arthur E. Armitage Distinguished Alumni Award and a 2014 nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Writes Jonathan in a recent piece: “The planet can be understood as one integrated living system. Humanity can be understood as one species in a web of life. We require a new set of ideas in accord with this understanding.”
