As a child, I enjoyed reading comic strips (picture books), and whenever I saw the image of a dragon, I was very curious, wondering where I could see a real dragon. From childhood to adulthood, I have always been on a quest to explore this. The Chinese dragon differs significantly from the Western dragon in appearance and symbolism. The Chinese dragon has a long body, rides the clouds and mists, symbolizing good fortune, and is almost universally loved; whereas the Western dragon is not long, has wings, and represents evil forces. I prefer the Chinese dragon, which embodies magnanimity, inclusiveness, and harmonious coexistence, looking forward to a more peaceful world and a more beautiful ecology in the Year of the Dragon.
