It is a time of transition here. New beginnings and endings on many fronts.

Last weekend, my daughter and I realized a dream we’ve had for several years of buying our own horse. I grew up riding and have been supporting my daughter’s love of horses by leasing horses for the last few years - waiting for the stars to align to settle into a more permanent relationship with a particular friend of our own. On Saturday, we found Cloe’ - a beautiful five year old quarter horse who will be our next spiritual teacher.

She is already living up to her role.

When we got her home on Sunday, she was a completely different being than the one we lovingly cuddled and rode the day before. She’d been filled with angst related to her move to a new barn, bonding with new humans, and navigating the changes in her environment. Her first lessons to us have been teaching us courage, resolve, and patience.

It’s good medicine.

I’ve been experiencing the same jolting dissonance in other friendships as well over the last week and it has me deep in examining my own stuff and licking my wounds.

As a woman committed to evolutionary velocity, I transform at such a rate of speed that it is hard for me to stay in relationships for very long. I seem to regularly outgrow people and this causes a lot of pain and angst for me and for those who’ve been brave enough to be in relationship with me.

It’s one of the side effects of the game we are in. My students seem to be up against the same issues.

How do we continue to be in relationship if those around us aren’t growing at the same pace?

It can be a lonely road.

After a beautiful birthday weekend in the redwoods of California, I’ve returned refreshed and alive - full of life force and creative impulse. I was nurtured and loved back to fullness by my beautiful sisters who held me, honored me and returned me to my Self.

I am a lucky woman.

Since I was a child, I’ve always had the story that my birthday was unimportant. I’ve manifested year after year of disappointment and decidedly “unspecial” treatment around it.

Even as an adult, I perpetuated the creation of not celebrating myself and blaming others for doing the same.

This year, I intentionally created something radically different by committing to a weekend away with some of my closest friends to drop in to pleasurable indulgence with wild, holy women who make my heart sing.

Steps like these are at the heart of Untaming our Soul Path - Doing the things you think you can not/should not/dare not do.

It's a dance of excavating the thought patterns and energetic blocks that have us believe we must be a certain way along with a willingness to take bold action in a new direction.

I am still fragile and new like the first bud of spring and I am also stronger and more resilient than I’ve ever been.

I had no plan and no clear point. I didn’t know where we would go on the show and I don't know where I will be going one minute from now.

I am just Here.

Spring is nearly upon us. Here in the midwest we’ve seen our first peek of warmer days and the crocuses and hyacinths are beginning to stretch their tentative buds toward the invitation of sun.

I love spring. I was born in the Spring, (I’m an Aries born in April) and I always feel extra invigorated and alive at this time of year.

I’ve still been enjoying a renaissance of spirit within my evolutionary path and loving my life on all levels. That’s why this week I was caught by surprise by some deeply buried layers of gunk from my past that loudly and forcefully presented themselves to my awareness. In hindsight, the Universe has been sending me subtle signals for a few days, but I wasn’t really open to seeing them… Until Now.

On our show this week, I shared the inside scoop on the secrets of the past that came to claim me and what I am doing about it.

I come to you this week still basking in the glow of a life on fire - in all the best ways. Money, love, happiness, business… it all seems to be in alignment for me at the moment.

This extended sense of calm and peace has certainly been illusive during the radically fast and turbulent path of evolution I have been on for the last decade.

And lately, with the intense transformational energies that have been presenting themselves cosmically and literally - it seems like, for once, I am sitting unscathed by the flames.

Many times during my journey, I’ve entertained this inquiry around whether a commitment to personal evolution requires that you let go of EVERYTHING and constantly navigate life from a position of unrest and struggle.

Do you have to burn down your whole life in order to walk the path of consciousness?

I used to fear that was true, and it certainly seems to be the norm for so many on this path, but I’ve recently had some shifts in my perspective on this and I really think it’s the foundation for this sweet stability I’m experiencing at the moment.

I had so much to share with you on this topic and on this week's show, I called bullshit on the idea of everything having to be dramatic and full of suffering.

It's time to let go of the shared belief that if you’re not in some kind of a tail spin, you’re not doing it right.

I dropped in for the show with my wild sister, Jena la Flamme, to ostensibly talk about her new book, Pleasurable Weight Loss. But just before we began I was called to go in a completely different direction.
