Artificial intelligence could be used to fully replace actors. In fact, bands like ABBA are already employing digital avatars for “live” performances. But AI is also being used to deepfake victimizing videos, steal passwords, and manipulate politics. As Peggy Noonan writes for the Wall Street Journal, “the fate of humanity [is] in the hands of the men and women of Silicon Valley . . . . And there’s something wrong with them.”
