September tenth was a big day in the nation's capital for groups fighting to help cancer patients, and Tuesday Willamette Wakeup host Stella Shaffer interviewed Oregon's representative of "CAN" — the Cancer Action Network, live on the phone from Washington about their call for action.

Monmouth and Independence join with Western Oregon University to push for a Mid-Willamette Valley Trolley. Every 10 minutes, the proposed trolley (a bus) would carry passengers on a circuit through the adjoining towns and the Western Oregon campus.
